Korona Kielce will start the new season with an away match against Jagiellonia Białystok. The schedule preparations involved additional organizational and logistical challenges. In the second round, Korona Kielce will host the vice-champion of Poland from Zabrze, and in the next week, they will travel to Warsaw. The schedule was prepared with the consideration of the comments submitted by the clubs, including the exchange of pitches, the organization of large mass events, and concerts held on stadiums and in their immediate surroundings. – This year's schedule preparations involved additional organizational and logistical challenges. One of them was the coordination of the calendar of three Krakow clubs competing in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, which will play matches on two stadiums located very close to each other. Ultimately, the schedule was constructed in such a way that Wieczysta played matches in terms that did not conflict with Wisła's matches. An exception will be the August term, when both clubs will play away in the 4th and 5th rounds due to Sanah's concert, and also as a consequence – in two spring rounds, both Wisła and Wieczysta – during one series of games – will play home matches on the Reymonta Street stadium. Due to logistical and safety reasons, it will not happen that two clubs from Krakow will play home matches on the same day – said Marcin Stefański, operational director of Ekstraklasa SA. – An additional challenge was also the inclusion of the Women's U-20 World Cup in the calendar. Although the tournament will be played only on one Ekstraklasa stadium, the fact that the tournament organization will take place, inter alia, on the Upper Silesia and in Łódź will also affect the schedules of other clubs from the region, as well as Widzew Łódź – adds Marcin Stefański. GKS Katowice will play three consecutive away matches (including one close to Gliwice) during the Women's World Cup. In the new season, similar to previous years, clubs participating in UEFA competitions will be able to postpone two league matches: one during the qualifying rounds Q1–Q3 and one in the period between the play-off round and the league phase. The comments of clubs participating in UEFA competitions were taken into account in accordance with previous agreements. – When creating the schedule, we took into account a total of 116 comments. I would like to thank all clubs for their professional cooperation. We have managed to create a calendar that reconciles the interests of teams, stadium operators, and is consulted with the relevant services responsible for safety. We are convinced that, similar to the previous season, the 2026/27 competitions will provide fans with many emotions and will be equally popular – concluded Marcin Stefański. The schedule was created in cooperation with the GotSport company, which deals with the processes of arranging league schedules. This is the most advanced solution for planning matches for professional sports leagues using artificial intelligence and a team of mathematicians. GotSport cooperates with over 70 professional leagues and federations, including the Scottish, Greek, Saudi, Swiss, Australian, Brazilian leagues, and several others from the Concacaf, CONMEBOL, and also with rugby, basketball, and volleyball leagues from around the world.
